UHK Chairman Taşpınar reelected

The Ordinary General Assembly of the Turkish National Grain Council (UHK) was held in Konya Commodity Exchange. Özkan Taşpınar restored trust in him at the UHK, which was established to work within the framework of the national agricultural policies determined in the Agriculture Law.

Özkan Taşpınar was reelected as the Chairman of the UHK at the Ordinary General Assembly, where the members of the Turkish National Grain Council and the protocol guests showed great interest. Yaşar Serpi was elected as the Deputy Chairman of the Turkish National Grains Council, M. Namık Köklüsoy as the Bookkeeper and Mehmet Tabur, Sabahattin Yumuşak, Prof. Dr. Bayram Sade, Selçuk Aydınalp, Hasan Gümüş, and Murad Bertan as Board Members.

Among the guests who attended the Ordinary General Assembly were the General Director of Plant Production of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Dr. Mehmet Hasdemir, Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Commodity Exchanges Council Chairman Hüseyin Çevik, Turkey Seed Growers Association (TÜRKTOB) Vice President and Plant Breeders' Sub-Union (BİSAB) President Selami Yazar. 

Reelected as the Chairman of the Turkish National Grain Council, Özkan Taşpınar, thanked the participants at the general assembly. “For the season 2022-23, the temporary support given per decare should be permanent and the certified seed, fertilizer and diesel support should be increased from 116 TRY to 230 TRY. The product support, which is still 0.1 TRY per kilo, should be increased to 0.25 TRY. The cereal purchase price to be announced must be integrated with world prices and updated periodically," Taşpınar said.
