BBM • MARCH - MART 2023 10 NEWS HABER Ahmet Güldal, General Manager of Turkish Grain Board (TMO), stated that they will provide all kinds of convenience to the producer and consumer affected by earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş. TMO General Manager Güldal said the Board has taken action as soon as they received the news of the earthquake and implemented the emergency plan. “Our enti- ties in the region are maintaining their activities. We are making product purchases in the earth- quake zone without any type and quota limitations,” he said. Güldal said that they made an organization to help the re- gion from the provinces outside the earthquake zone and they prepared food for 3 thousand people a day in addition to the aid provided in the region. Güldal stated that they have opened workplaces in provinc- es outside the earthquake zone to the service of earthquake victims. Emphasizing that water and bread are the most needed foodstuffs in the earthquake re- gion, Güldal said that they have supported the flour supply of the region from the first day to meet the bread need and sent flour to the running plants. Güldal stated that they supply staple food such as pulses and sunflower oil for mobile kitch- ens from the sector, and that they delivered over 5 thousand tons of dry foodstuff to the earthquake zone. Pointing out that TMO operates in 11 provinces shocked by the earthquake, Gül- dal reminded that some workplaces in the region have been damaged. Güldal stated that a total of 113 administrative buildings, lodg- ings, warehouses and facilities have been affected by the earthquake, 9 of which were severely damaged, 20 of which were moderately damaged, and 84 of them were slightly dam- aged. He noted that damage assessment studies have been carried out and the workplaces in question started to operate. TMO’s emergency plan for earthquake zone in effect After the earthquake in Kahramanmaraş, an emergency action plan has been put into effect by the Turkish Grain Board. Emergency plan has been activated by TMO and support was provided to the producer and consumer. TMO’nun deprem bölgesi için acil durum planı devrede Kahramanmaraş’ta meydana gelen depremin ardından Toprak Mahsulleri Ofisi tarafından acil eylem plan dev- reye sokuldu. TMO tarafından acil plan durumu devreye sokularak üretici ve tüketiciler için destek sağlandı. Toprak Mahsulleri Ofisi (TMO) Genel Müdürü Ahmet Güldal, Kahramanmaraş merkezli depremlerden etkilenen üretici ve tüketicilere her türlü kolaylığı sağlayacaklarını belirtti. Ofis olarak deprem haberini alır almaz harekete geçip, acil durum planını uyguladıklarını söyleyen TMO Genel Müdürü Güldal, “Bölgede işletmelerimiz faaliyetleri- ne devam ediyor. Deprem bölgesinde herhangi bir cins ve kota sınırlaması olmadan ürün alımı yapıyoruz” dedi. Deprem bölgesi dışında kalan illerden bölgeye yardım için organizasyon yaptıklarına işaret eden Güldal, bölgede yapılan yardımların yanında günde 3 bin kişilik yemek çı- kardıklarını anlattı. Güldal, deprem bölgesi dışında kalan illerdeki iş yer- lerini de depremzede vatan- daşların hizmetine açtıklarını vurguladı. Suyun ve ekmeğin deprem bölgesinde en çok ihtiyaç duyulan gıda maddesi olduğunun altını çizen Güldal, ekmek ihtiyacının karşılanma- sı için ilk günden itibaren böl- genin un tedarikine destek olduklarını, çalışan işletme- lere un gönderdiklerini dile getirdi. Güldal, seyyar mutfaklar için de bakliyat, ayçiçeği yağı gibi temel gıda maddelerini sektörden temin ederek gön- derdiklerini belirterek, bu kapsamda 5 bin tonun üzerin- de kuru gıda maddesini deprem bölgesine ulaştırdıklarını bildirdi. TMO’nun depremden etkilenen 11 ilde de faaliyet gösterdiğine işaret eden Güldal, bölgedeki bazı iş yerleri- nin hasar gördüğünü hatırlattı. 9’u ağır, 20’si orta, 84’ü hafif hasarlı olmak üzere toplam 113 idari bina, lojman, depo ve tesisin depremden etki- lendiğini belirten Güldal, hasar tespit çalışmalarının yapıl- dığını ve söz konusu iş yerlerinin çalışmaya başladığını kaydetti.
