The group took upon itself the responsibility of increasing efficiency and reducing energy consumption by utilizing more clean sustainable resources, as a first step Al-Hazaa group chose Jordan to establish its first renewable energy plant because it houses many of the Group’s projects, op- erating ten factories in Jordan alone, this step has enabled Al-Hazaa Investment Group to reduce its carbon emissions by 12-13 thousand tons annually. The power plant project, which is called Al-Hazaa Com- pany for Generating Renewable Energy was built in 2017 in Al Zumayla town in Jordan, it is the largest private-use solar Al-Hazaa Investment Group Employs Sustainable Food Production in Jordan “For the last six years Al-Hazaa has been milling a quan- tity of 750,000 tons of flour annually using 100% clean solar energy and reducing carbon emissions due to its full dependency on its solar power plant in Jordan. In addition to its flour mills, the group also operates a maize mill, which is the only maize mill in Jordan produc- ing gluten-free flour and maize grits, a pasta factory for short and long-cut pasta, and the only noodles factory in Jordan producing packed and cup noodles.” Al-Hazaa Investment Group, Ürdün’de Sürdürülebilir Gıda Üretimi Sağlıyor “Al-Hazaa son altı yıldır %100 temiz güneş enerjisi kul- lanarak yılda 750 bin ton un öğütüyor ve Ürdün'deki elektrik santrali tamamen güneş enerjisine bağlı çalış- ması sayesinde karbon emisyonlarını azaltıyor. Grup, un değirmenlerine ek olarak, Ürdün'de glütensiz un ve öğütülmüş mısır üreten tek mısır değirmeni, kısa ve uzun kesme makarna için bir makarna fabrikası ve Ürdün'de paketlenmiş ve kap erişte üreten tek erişte fabrikasını işletiyor.” Al-Hazaa Investment Group, Orta Doğu’daki gıda üretim sektörünün öncülerinden biri olarak ve gıda sanayisinin dünyanın en büyük ve en çok enerji tüketen endüstrilerin- den biri olduğu gerçeğine bağlı olarak, üretimlerinde sür- dürülebilir enerji kullanmanın önemini gördü ve bu sebeple Ürdün’de bir güneş enerjisi santrali kurdu. Grup, daha temiz ve sürdürülebilir kaynaklar kullanarak verimliliği artırma ve enerji tüketimini azaltma sorumluluğunu üstlendi. Al-Hazaa grubu, yalnızca Ürdün’de on faal fabrikası bulunan Grubun birçok projesine ev sahipliği yapması ebebiyle, ilk adım olarak ilk yenilenebilir enerji santralini kurmak için Ürdün’ü seçti. Bu adım, Al-Hazaa Yatırım Grubu’nun karbon emisyon- larını yılda 12-13 bin ton azaltmasını sağladı. Al-Hazaa Company for Generating Renewable Energy (Ye- nilenebilir Enerji Üretimi için Al-Hazaa Company) olarak adlandırılan santral projesi, 2017 yılında Ürdün’ün Al Zu- mayla kasabasında inşa edildi.
