BBM • JUNE - HAZİRAN 2023 14 NEWS HABER İbrahim Yumaklı, who was appointed as minister at the Min- istry of Agriculture and Forestry, where he served as deputy minister, took over from Vahit Kirişci at the handover ceremony. Kirişci conveyed his best wishes to Yumaklı at the ceremony held at the Ministry. Yumaklı stated that they had initiated many projects in the 14 months he served as deputy minister and said, “Our roadmap is clear, we will implement our structural reforms planned for every stage from production to consumption in the coming period.” Yumaklı stressed that they will work on the supply of agricul- tural inputs, especially in areas that depend on foreign sources, and said, “We will prioritise and accelerate our localisation and nationalisation steps. I would like to emphasise that the century of production and producers in agriculture has begun with the century of Turkey. We are based on ensuring food security. In the new period, we will take all possible measures to ensure that food production systems have a strong structure that is re- sistant to sustainable risks, while focusing on ensuring that con- sumers have access to reliable food at reasonable prices. Our agricultural policy will be based on the principle of empowering our producers and protecting our consumers. Our focus will be on all processes from farm to fork. In the new period, productiv- ity and quality will, of course, be an issue we cannot ignore. We have seen agriculture as part of national security. It is with this in mind that we are shaping our vision and policies. Minister İbrahim Yumaklı: “Agriculture is a part of national security” The new Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, İbrahim Yumaklı, has taken over from Vahit Kirişci. In his speech at the handover ceremony, Yumaklı said: “While we have tak- en all possible measures to ensure food security, we have considered agriculture to be part of national security.” Bakan İbrahim Yumaklı: “Tarım milli güvenliğin bir parçası” Yeni Tarım ve Orman Bakanı İbrahim Yumaklı, görevi Vahit Kirişci’den devraldı. Yumaklı, devir teslim törenin- de yaptığı konuşmada, “Gıda güvenliğinde her türlü tedbiri alırken, tarımı milli güvenliğin parçası olarak de- ğerlendirdik” dedi. Bakan Yardımcısı olarak görev yaptığı Tarım Ve Orman Bakanlığı’nda; bakanlık görevine getirilen İbrahim Yumaklı, de- vir teslim töreni ile Vahit Kirişci’den görevi devraldı. Bakanlıkta yapılan törende Kirişci, Yumaklı’ya hayırlı olsun dileklerini iletti. Yumaklı, bakan yardımcısı olarak görev yaptığı 14 aylık sü- reçte birçok proje başlattıklarını belirterek, “Yol haritamız belli- dir, önümüzdeki dönemde üretimden tüketime her aşama için planladığımız yapısal reformlarımızı hayata geçireceğiz” dedi. Yumaklı, tarımsal girdi tedarikinde özellikle dışa bağımlı olunan alanlarda çalışmalar yapacaklarını vurgulayarak, “Yer- lileştirme ve millileştirme adımlarımıza öncelik vereceğiz ve hızlandıracağız. Türkiye Yüzyılı ile tarımda üretimin ve üreti- cinin yüzyılının başladığının altını çizmek istiyorum. Gıda arz güvenliğinin sağlanmasını temel alıyoruz. Yeni dönemde gıda üretim sistemlerinin sürdürülebilir risklere karşı dayanıklı ve güçlü bir yapıya kavuşması için her türlü tedbiri alırken tüketi- cinin de güvenilir gıdaya makul fiyatlarla erişebilmesi konusu- na yoğunlaşacağız. Tarım politikamızı üreticilerimizin güçlen- dirilmesi ve tüketicilerimizin korunması prensibi çerçevesinde şekillendireceğiz. Tarladan sofraya tüm süreçler bizim odak noktamızı oluşturacak. Yeni dönemde elbette ki göz ardı et- mememiz gereken başka bir husus verimlilik ve kalite olacak. Tarımı, milli güvenliğin bir parçası olarak değerlendirdik. Viz- yonumuzu ve politikalarımızı da bu bilinçle oluşturuyoruz” ifa- delerini kullandı.
