Production quantities in 2023 increased by 10.3% for cere- als and other crops (excluding forage crops), 0.6% for vegeta- bles, and 2.3% for fruits, beverages, and spice plants compared to the previous year. Accordingly, in 2023, there was a produc- tion of 77.7 million tons for cereals and other crops, 31.8 million tons for vegetables, and 27.4 million tons for fruits, beverages, and spice plants. The production quantities of cereal products increased by 9.1% in 2023 compared to the previous year, reaching approxi- mately 42.2 million tons. Wheat production increased by 11.4% to 22 million tons, barley production increased by 8.2% to 9.2 million tons, rye production increased by 11.7% to 305 thousand tons, and oat production increased by 12.3% to 410 thousand tons compared to the previous year. In the dry legumes group, chickpea, dry beans, and red lentil production were 580 thousand tons, 240 thousand tons, and 424 thousand tons, respectively. As for tuber plants, potatoes increased by 9.6% compared to the previous year, reaching a production of 5.7 million tons. Soybean production from oilseeds decreased by 11.3% to 137.5 thousand tons, while sunflower production de- creased by 13.8% to approximately 2.2 million tons. Sugar beet production increased by 22.1%, reaching 23.5 million tons. Buğday üretim önceki yıla göre yüzde 11,4 artarak 22 milyon tona ulaştı. Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu’nun (TÜİK) Tarım ve Orman Bakan- lığının verilerini kullanarak hazırladığı verilere göre bitkisel üretim bir önceki yıla göre arttı. Üretim miktarları, 2023 yılında bir önceki yıla göre tahıllar ve diğer bitkisel ürünlerde (yem bitkileri hariç) yüzde 10,3; seb- zelerde yüzde 0,6; meyveler, içecek ve baharat bitkilerinde yüzde 2,3 oranında arttı. Buna göre 2023 yılında tahıllar ve di- ğer bitkisel ürünlerde 77,7 milyon ton; sebzelerde 31,8 milyon ton; meyveler, içecek ve baharat bitkilerinde 27,4 milyon ton üretim gerçekleşti. Kuru baklagiller grubunda nohut, kuru fasulye ve kırmızı mercimek üretimi sırasıyla 580 bin ton, 240 bin ton ve 424 bin ton oldu. Yumru bitkilerden patates ise bir önceki yıla göre yüzde 9,6 oranında artarak 5,7 milyon ton üretildi. Yağlı tohum- lardan soya üretimi yüzde 11,3 oranında azalarak 137,5 bin ton, ayçiçeği üretimi ise yüzde 13,8 azalarak yaklaşık 2,2 milyon ton oldu.
