Emre Gencer, President of the Machinery Man- ufacturers’ Association (MIB), which has been carrying out its activities in order to protect the interests of domestic machinery manufacturers in the entire machinery sector and to support domestic machinery production, made evaluations about the problems and solution proposals of the machinery sector. Despite the negative developments, 2023 was a very suc- cessful year for the sector. Domestic machinery investments grew by 12 percent, while machinery production increased by 8 percent. The driving force of the strong performance was our exports. WE ARE HOPEFUL FOR 2024 Last year, machinery exports increased by 11 per cent and exceeded 28 billion dollars. We can say that the main factor behind this strong increase is the success we have shown in alternative markets other than our main markets. We are also hopeful for 2024. Emre Gencer, makine sektörü- nün sorunları ve çözüm önerileri hakkında değerlendirme- lerde bulundu. Yaşanan olumsuz gelişmelere rağmen 2023 yılı, sektör açısından oldukça başarılı bir yıl oldu. Yurtiçi makine yatı- rımları yüzde 12 büyürken makine üretimi yüzde 8 oranında arttı. Güçlü performansın itici gücü ihracatımız oldu. 2024 IÇIN UMUTLUYUZ Geçtiğimiz yıl makine ihracatı yüzde 11 artarak 28 milyar dolar seviyesini aştı. Bu güçlü artışı sağlayan temel faktö- rün, ana pazarlarımız dışındaki alternatif pazarlarda göster- diğimiz başarı olduğunu söyleyebiliriz. 2024 için de umutlu- yuz. İhracatın büyümeye katkısının pozitif olmasını öngören OVP’nin kararlılıkla uygulanması halinde bu yıl da güçlü bir ihracat artış oranı yakalayacağımıza inanıyorum.
