BBM • JUNE - HAZİRAN 2024 22 NEWS HABER Söke, the leading brand in the flour industry’s retail sector, had announced on October 11, 2023, via the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), that it had leased a production facility in Tek- keköy, Samsun, covering a total area of 6,995 m2 with 4,100 m2 of closed area, with the aim of extending its leadership to the bakery sector. It was also stated that production would com- mence in the first half of 2024. As of May 23, the new facility has commenced operations. The initial phase involves the production of 4 types of cookies, with plans to expand to a total of 7 different varieties in the future. Speaking on the matter, Dr. Eren Günhan Ulusoy, the Chairman of Söke, stated, “At Söke, we place great importance on both expanding our product range and conducting R&Defforts for our existing prod- ucts. With our brand motto focused on consumer health, all our efforts include developing new flavors of cookies, gluten- free products across different ranges, and moisture-reduced flour initiatives. Our work in these areas continues to progress every day. İlk etapta 4 çeşitle başlanan üretim, ilerleyen zaman diliminde 7 çeşide çıkarılacak. Un sektörünün perakendedeki lider markası Söke, pa- zardaki liderliğini unlu mamuller sektörüne taşımak adına 11.10.2023 tarihinde KAP’a Samsun/Tekkeköy’de 6.995 m2 toplam alan üzerine kurulu 4.100 m2 kapalı alana sahip üre- tim tesisinin kiralandığını ve 2024’ün ilk yarısında da üretime geçileceğini bildirmişti. 23 Mayıs itibariyle yeni tesis üretime başladı. İlk etapta 4 çeşit kurabiye üre- timiyle başlayan sürecin ilerleyen zamanda toplamda 7 farklı kurabiye üretimiyle devam etmesi planlanıyor.
