In his opening speech at the conference, Güldal stated that situations such as pandemics, economic crises, and wars affect countries both commercially and economically. He emphasized the importance of evaluating each harvest year individually, noting, “Perhaps everyone has noticed that wheat cultivation areas have started to increase in our country. Positive pricing in recent years has triggered this. The world has experienced fruitful seasons in the last two years. We also anticipate reaching production levels similar to last year globally. We expect a fruitful harvest in Turkey this year as well. We predict that this year’s harvest will start a bit earlier. TMO is ready for all kinds of projections. Last year, TMO conducted its highest purchase in history. We carefully monitored these stocks, which we consider as a national asset. We know that they are important economi- cally as insurance for the next few years.” Güldal emphasized that TMO has completed all prepara- tions for the new harvest season, stating, “The work done with the start of the harvest will be shared with the public. Our appointment system has been changed this year, none of the farmers will say, ‘I couldn’t get an appointment.’ The Board has made all preparations to purchase all products entrusted to it this year according to the preferences of the producers, so there should be no concern about storage.” GÜLDAL: “MILLI SERVET NITELIĞINDEKI STOKLARIMIZ GELECEĞIN SIGORTASIDIR” HUBUDER’in 2024 Hasadına Doğru Türkiye ve Dünyada Tahıl Konferansı’nda konuşan Toprak Mahsulleri Ofisi (TMO) Genel Müdürü Ahmet Güldal, buğdaya verilen desteklerle son iki yıldır ekim alanlarının arttığını söyledi. TMO Genel Müdürü Güldal, konferansın açılışında yaptığı konuşmada, salgın, ekonomik krizler ve savaş gibi durumların ülkeleri ticari ve ekonomik yönden etkilediğini söyledi. Her hasat yılının kendine has değerlendirilmesi gerektiğini kay- deden Güldal, “Ülkemizde buğday ekim alanlarının artmaya başladığını herhalde herkes fark ediyordur. Son yıllardaki po- zitif fiyatlandırmalar bunu tetiklemiştir. Son iki yıldır dünyada bereketli sezonlar yaşanıyor. Bu yıl da dünya genelinde ge- çen yılın üretim seviyelerine yaklaşılacağını tahmin ediyoruz. Türkiye’de de bu yıl rekoltenin bereketli olmasını bekliyoruz. Bu sene hasadın bir miktar erken başlamasını öngörüyoruz. TMO olarak her türlü projeksiyona hazırız. Geçen yıl TMO, ta- rihinin en yüksel alımını gerçekleştirdi. Milli servet olarak nite- lendirdiğimiz bu stokları dikkatli şekilde takip ettik. Ekonomik olarak önümüzdeki birkaç yılın sigortası noktasında önemli olduğunu biliyoruz” dedi. TMO’nun yeni hasat dönemi için yapılması gereken tüm hazırlıkları tamamladığını belirten Güldal, “Hasadın başlama- sıyla yapılan çalışmalar kamuoyuyla paylaşılacak. Randevu sistemimiz bu sene değiştirildi, ‘Randevu alamadım.’ diyen çiftçimiz olmayacak. TMO bu yıl kendisine tevdi edilecek tüm ürünleri üreticilerin tercihlerine göre almak için tüm hazırlıkla- rını yapmıştır, depolamayla ilgili de bir endişe olmasın” ifade- sini kullandı.
