We did not prioritize profit and made every effort to ensure that the world could ac- cess wheat and flour under the most economical conditions. We wrote an incredible success story, particularly in getting this product to developing countries as quickly as possible and at the best price. The sustainability of the grain corridor has been well recognized and appreciated by the United Nations and the global community. Flour exports from the Turkish flour industry continue to increase. Ideally, we would prefer to conduct this export with our wheat. However, without thinking only of ourselves, we hope for an end to the war between Russia and Ukraine, considering the global need. THANKS TO EDİP AKTAŞ AND ERHAN ÖZMEN At the end of the program, Haluk Tezcan expressed his gratitude to Edip Aktaş and Erhan Özmen, who played sig- nificant roles in bringing TFIF, the umbrella organization of the sector, to where it is today, saying: “As a sector, we were gathered under an association for many years. Later, during the establishment of the Turkish Flour Industrialists’ Federation (TFIF), Edip Aktaş helped us come together and became a pioneer in shaping today’s TFIF. I would like to thank him as the President of TFIF. I also want to extend my thanks to President Erhan Özmen. Presi- dent Özmen has always provided leadership with his vision in the sector. He has been a pioneer in many aspects, con- tributing significantly to the sector’s progress and achieve- ments. I am very grateful to him for his valuable work.” A WORLD FIRST AT THE TFIF CONGRESS Haluk Tezcan noted that this year’s congress held in An- talya had a significant impact worldwide, stating, “With this congress, we have had the opportunity to present the suc- cess story of the Turkish flour industry to the entire world. This year, we achieved a first by successfully bringing to- gether representatives from Russia, Ukraine, the United States, and the European Union on the same platform. This was a first in the world. By uniting a community that is often hesitant to come together on many issues, we have made a contribution to humanity.” At the end of the conversation, Haluk Tezcan thanked BBM Magazine, program host Mine Ataman, and Chef Mu- harrem, who baked pizza and simit at BBM Mutfak, say- ing, “Especially recently, during the ‘don’t eat flour, don’t consume gluten, don’t do this’ period, you have always supported us with your publications. Through your social media and broadcasts, you have emphasized the value of flour, its importance, and its indispensable role in human nutrition. EDİP AKTAŞ VE ERHAN ÖZMEN’E TEŞEKKÜR Programın sonunda sektörün çatı kuruluşu olan TUSAF’ın bugünlere gelmesinde büyük emeği olan Edip Aktaş ve Erhan Özmen’e teşekkür eden Haluk Tezcan şöyle konuştu: Biz sektör olarak uzun yıllar bir dernek çatısı altında top- landık. Daha sonra Türkiye Un Sanayicileri Federasyonu’nun (TUSAF) kuruluşu döneminde Edip Aktaş abi bizi toparladı, bir araya getirdi ve bugünlerin mimarı olarak bizim önümüzde bir duayen oldu. Ona TUSAF Başkanı olarak teşekkür etmek istiyorum. Erhan Özmen Başkanıma ayrıca teşekkür etmek is- tiyorum. Erhan Başkanım da gerçekten sektörde vizyonuyla hep abilik yaptı. Sektörün bugünlere ve daha iyi yerlere ge- lebilmesi adına da kendisi birçok konuda öncü oldu. Ben ona da yapmış olduğu değerli çalışmalarından dolayı çok teşekkür ediyorum.” TUSAF KONGRESİNDE DÜNYADA BİR İLK YAŞANDI TUSAF’ın bu yıl Antalya’da gerçekleştirdi kongrenin dün- yada ses getirdiğini kaydeden Haluk Tezcan, “Bu kongre ile un sanayisinin Türkiye’deki başarı hikayesini bütün dünyaya sunabilme fırsatı yakalıyoruz. Bu sene bir ilki yaptık, gerek Rusya’yı, gerek Ukrayna’yı, gerek Amerika’yı, gerekse Avrupa Birliği’ni aynı platforma getirme başarısını sağladık. Bu dünya- da bir ilk oldu. Çünkü birçok konuda bir araya gelmekte imtina eden bu topluluğu bir araya getirerek dünya insanlığına da katkı koyduk.” Sohbetin sonunda BBM Dergisi’ne, program sunucusu Mine Ataman’a ve BBM Mutfak’ta pizza ve simit pişiren Mu- harrem Usta’ya teşekkür eden Haluk Tezcan, “Özellikle son dönemlerde un yemeyin, gluten tüketmeyin, aman onu yap- mayın sürecinde hep yayınlarınızla yanımızda oldunuz. Unun ne kadar kıymetli olduğunu, insan için unun ne kadar değerli olduğunu bütün sosyal medyanızda olsun, gerek yapmış ol- duğunuz yayınlarla unun ne kadar önemli olduğunu ve insan beslenmesinde olmazsa olmazı olduğunu ifade ediyorsunuz. Geleceğin tadı güzelmiş tavsiye ederim.”
