The Grain and Pulses Processing Technologies, Storage, and Analysis Sys- tems Association (TABADER), uniting stake- holders of the Turkish milling industry, will host the 5th International TABADER Summit at the IDMA Fair, set within the Istanbul Expo Center. On the fair’s inaugural day, the sum- mit, themed ‘innovation, technology, and fu- ture’, will unfold in the third hall. At the summit, eminent figures from the global milling industry will serve as panel- ists, exploring the latest trends, production processes, and future projections within this crucial sector. Renowned experts will share their insights across three sessions titled “New Technologies,” “New Approach- es, Trends, and Future,” and “Economy and Logistics.” The summit’s closing session will fo- cus on “Women’s Strength in Milling.” This dedicated session to women in milling will underscore the industry’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. INTERNATIONAL GRAINS AND PULSES CONGRESS TABADER is expanding its annual line- up of events this year by introducing the ‘International Grain and Pulses Congress’ alongside its international summit, training program, and veterans’ night. This congress aims to convene scien- tists, researchers, professionals, and policymakers from across the globe to engage in discussions and knowledge exchange regard- ing grains and pulses. It will serve as a platform for experts to share their insights, collaborate on re- search endeavors, and address various challenges and opportu- nities in the field of cereals and pulses. The congress will cover a wide range of topics including cereals, pulses, storage, quality control, technological advance- ments, economic perspectives, social dimensions, health consid- erations, sustainability, agroecol- ogy, crop breeding, agronomy, crop management practices, and feed technologies. Furthermore, the presentations delivered at the congress will be subsequently published in the TABADER Acad- emy Journal. ABADER, aiming to address the demand for skilled workforce in the milling industry, will offer internationally certi- fied milling training at IDMA Is- tanbul. Taking place in Hall 3 of the IDMA fair area, the training program will feature experts and academics delivering inst- ruction on technical topics inc- luding mill flow diagram, grain and pulse storage techniques, grain cleaning technology, flour production technology, rice production technology, extru- ded products technology, pulses production technology, pasta production technology, and alternative proteins. The training program, running throughout the duration of the fair, welcomes individuals interested in educational topics, inc- luding industry workers, self-improvement enthu- siasts, those with basic knowledge, and industry representatives. Its goal is to assist participants in broadening their existing knowledge and remaining abreast of industry innova- tions. During TABADER’s sixth certified milling training, si- multaneous interpretation in English and Turkish will be available. The sessions will be structured in 50-mi- nute intervals, and participants will receive printed materials containing the training content and presentations in advance. Upon completion of the three-day training, participants will be awarded a certificate. ABADER will host the fifth edi- tion of the Doyens’ Night, an event revered by the industry, alongside IDMA Istanbul. This evening of appreciation will honor indi- viduals who have made significant con- tributions to the milling industry in Tur- key and across the globe. The Doyens’ Award Night, thoroughly organized by the TABADER Selection Committee, will take place on Thursday evening, May 2, at the Wow Hotel. This meaningful event, anticipated to have high-level participation, will recog- nize recipients in various categories, in- cluding those who have passed away, in- dustry contributors, young professionals, and the institution of the year.
