Supported by more than 60 associations, unions and federations, the high-level local and foreign participation at the opening of the fair was an indication of IDMA’s position as a crossroads for the global milling industry. Speaking at the opening of the fair, Ahmet Güldal, General Manager of the Turkish Grain Board (TMO), commended the simultaneous presence of the presidents of the leading flour, feed, and pasta organiza- tions—key players in agriculture—at IDMA. Güldal emphasized that this presence serves as a crucial endorsement of IDMA’s central importance. Drawing attention to the presence of Haluk Tezcan, President of TUSAF, Ülkü Karakuş, President of TÜRKİYEMBİR and Aykut Göymen, President of TMSD at the opening ceremony, TMO Director Gener- al Güldal remarked, “While today marks the inaugural day of IDMA Istanbul and we’ll be partaking in several events, I’d like to draw attention to a particular aspect. The participation of the top names in the flour, feed, and pasta industries—who are pivotal figures in Turkish agriculture—at this opening ceremony truly speaks volumes about IDMA’s standing.” 02 Grain industry giants gather at IDMA Istanbul IDMA Istanbul kicked off yesterday with a splendid ceremony. During his address at the inau- guration, TMO General Manager Ahmet Güldal underscored the significance of the attendees. Güldal remarked, "Here, I observe that the foremost umbrella organizations in the flour, feed, and pasta sectors—the backbone of agriculture—are gathered here at IDMA Istanbul."
