Equipped with an industrial baking oven, dough mixer, refrig- erator and other professional equipment, the kitchen produced freshly baked bread and bakery products that were served to visitors throughout the exhibition, adding warmth and hospitality to the event. By combining live production with knowledge shar- ing, BBM Kitchen developed a unique identity where theory met practice. While the talks continued, freshly prepared products were served to visitors, creating a natural gathering place amid the busy exhibition schedule. A Meeting Point Reflecting the Spirit of the Exhibition While IDMA Istanbul continued to serve as a major interna- tional platform bringing together technology suppliers, investors and industry professionals from around the world, BBM Kitchen added a human dimension to the exhibition by strengthening communication and bringing together experts from different dis- ciplines around the same table. The sessions covered not only the latest developments in flour milling, pasta, bakery and grain processing, but also broad- er issues such as changing consumer behaviour, sustainability, climate change, cultural heritage, neuroscience, economics and gastronomy. In doing so, BBM Kitchen became more than a plat- form for sharing information; it evolved into a cross-disciplinary environment where different perspectives came together. The direct interaction between speakers and visitors, the con- versations that continued after each session and the welcoming atmosphere created throughout the exhibition demonstrated that BBM Kitchen was far more than a conventional conference venue. The constantly busy seating area, the aroma of freshly baked bread, spontaneous meetings among industry profession- als and conversations that led to new collaborations made BBM Kitchen one of the liveliest meeting points of IDMA Istanbul 2026. BBM Kitchen Is Becoming an IDMA Tradition First introduced in 2024, BBM Kitchen took another important step towards becoming one of IDMA Istanbul’s signature events with its second edition, distinguished by high-quality content, strong visitor interest and a cross-disciplinary approach. Built around the theme “The Pleasure Collection of Civilization,” the programme approached agriculture and food not only from the perspectives of production and trade, but also through the shared culture, lifestyle and future of humanity, bringing a differ- ent perspective to the exhibition. Bringing together knowledge, experience and flavour around the same table, BBM Kitchen became a place where hundreds of visitors stopped by, leading figures of the industry came to- gether, new ideas emerged and lasting collaborations began. Bilgiyi, deneyimi ve lezzeti aynı sofrada buluşturan BBM Mutfak, üç gün boyunca yüzlerce ziyaretçinin yolu üzerinde durduğu, sektörün önde gelen isimlerinin bir araya geldiği, yeni fikirlerin filizlendiği ve kalıcı iş birliklerinin temellerinin atıldığı bir paylaşım alanına dönüştü. İDMA İstanbul 2026’nın teknoloji ve ticaret odaklı yapısını sosyal, kültürel ve entelek- tüel bir boyutla tamamlayan etkinlik, fuarın en canlı ve en çok ilgi gören buluşma noktalarından biri olarak katılımcıların ha- fızasında yer etti.
