He not only learned but also taught what he learned. We are at the point of sharing what we have learned, not just teaching it. There are things we have learned incorrectly. Everyone is a student because even the best teachers gain their best teachings while teaching. So, when you’re not there, I don’t mean anything. Because I’m not in a position to teach some- thing. Therefore, I call this a knowledge sharing program. Look, our young friends who will become food engineers are here. We’re trying to teach these students within an educational system, aren’t we? I’ve been at Istanbul University for 35 years. Not once have I given a midterm exam. Not once have I given a final exam. And the students always taught the lessons. I sim- ply filled in the gaps. But when they graduate, they become a different person in a different world. Why am I telling you this? Because as long as that system is properly struc- tured, there’s no problem. The mill’s system has no meaning un- less it is properly structured. The mill itself is not a standalone system; it’s part of that system. Before the mill, I am at the most critical point of the system. What do I do? I am a farmer at the same time. I sow, I harvest. When I sow correctly, harvest correctly, store wheat correctly, and then send it to the mill, giving the master the flour he wants, that’s when some- thing else happens. Agricultural en- gineers, technicians, farmers—all enter into this system. But it’s crucial for the farmer to be certified. If the farmer at the beginning is not certi- fied, everything falls apart. What should we do? First, we need to provide certified training to farmers. You know when we talk about the Netherlands, we always give examples from the Netherlands, saying Dutch agriculture is like this, Dutch agriculture is like that. Do you know no farmer in the Netherlands can just decide to plant whatever they want? A farmer can’t just say, ‘This year I want to plant lettuce.’ Why? Be- cause that farmer belongs to a cooperative in that region. The cooperative has a production plan. Within that plan, farmers are told, ‘You will plant onions this year.’ Therefore, from themoment you are certified, you are not just a villager, you are a farmer. From the moment you are a farmer, the government provides support to you. If you ask if it’s that simple, well, you are wrong. Now, any of you go, take up two hectares of land, register with an agricultural chamber, and by the afternoon, you’re a farmer. Dünya bazında evet. Küreselde meşhur bir şefle karşı karşı- yayız. O halde oraya gelene kadar geçirdiği yollara baktığınız andan itibaren inanılmaz şeyler öğrendi. Öğrendiklerini de öğretti. Öğrendiklerimizi öğretmek değil de paylaşmak nok- tasındayız. Yanlış öğrendiğimiz şeyler var. Herkes öğrenci. Çünkü öğretmen de en iyi öğretilerini öğ- retirken elde ediyor. Yani siz olmadığınız anda benim hiçbir anlamım yok. Çünkü ben bir şey öğretme noktasında olmu- yorum. Dolayısıyla buna ben bilgi paylaşım programı diyorum. Bakın gıda mühendisi olacak genç arkadaşlarımız bura- dalar. Bu öğrencilerimizi biz bir eğitim sistemi içerisinde öğ- retmeye çalışıyoruz değil mi? Ben 35 yıldır İstanbul Üniver- sitesindeyim. Bir kere bile vize yapmadım. Bir kere bile final yapmadım. Ve dersi de hep öğrenciler anlattılar. Ben de ek- siklerini tamamladım. Ama onlar mezun olunca başka bir dün- yanın insanı oluyorlar. Bunu niye anlatıyorum ben? O sistem doğru kurgulandığı sürece sorun yok. Değirmenin sistemi doğru kurgulanma- dığı sürece bir anlamı yok. Değirmen tek başına bir sistem değil. O sistemin bir parçası. Değirmenden önce ben sistemin en önemli noktasındayım. Ben ne yapıyorum? Ben bir çiftçiyim aynı zamanda. Ekiyorum, hasat ediyorum. Bu arada ben ekimi doğru yaptığım anda, ha- satı doğru yaptığım andan itibaren buğdayı doğru şekilde depoladığım ve ondan sonra da değirmene gönderip, ustanın istediği unu ona verdiğim andan itibaren işte başka bir şey geliyor. Bu sistemin içe- risine ziraat mühendisleri giriyor, ziraat teknisyenleri giriyor. Çiftçi giriyor. Ama çiftçinin sertifikalı olması çok önemlidir. Yani işin en başındaki çiftçi sertifikasız ol- duğu anda bütün her şey bitiyor. Ne yapmamız lazım? Önce çiftçiye sertifikalı eğitimler vermemiz lazım. Hollanda’dan bah- sediyoruz ya, hep Hollanda’dan örnek veriyoruz ya, Hollanda tarımı şöyle, Hollanda tarımı böyle. Hollanda’da hiçbir çiftçi kendi kafasına göre istediği ürünü ekemiyor biliyor mu? Bir çiftçi kalkıp da ben bu sene tarlama, ne bileyim, marul ekmek istiyorum diyemiyor. Neden? Çünkü o çiftçinin o bölgede bağlı olduğu bir kooperatif var. Kooperatifin bir üretim planla- ması var. Üretim planlaması içerisinde o çiftçilere sen bu sene soğan ekeceksin deniliyor. Dolayısıyla sertifikalı olduğunuz andan ibaren köylü değil- siniz, çiftçisiniz. Çiftçi olduğunuz andan ibaren devlet destek- leri size veriyor. Biz de böyle mi derseniz, biz de böyle değil. Şimdi herhangi biriniz gidin, iki dönüm yer alın, bir ziraat oda- sına kayıt yaptırın, öğleden sonra çiftçisiniz.
