Turkey, serving as the Regional Director of IAOM Eurasia, plays a central role in this regional hub that comprises 32 countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Turkey, and EU member states—all major players in global wheat production and flour exports. Maintaining its position as the world’s top flour exporter with over 3 million tons annually, Turkey is uniquely positioned to host and lead strategic conversations that define the region’s grain dynamics. This year’s event aims to deepen regional collaboration and support the development of sustainable and resilient grain sup- ply chains across Eurasia. The opening session is expected to feature key addresses from Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı and TMO (Turkish Grain Board) General Manager Ahmet Güldal, who will share vital insights into the cur- rent state and future outlook of the sector. They will be joined by IAOM President Scott Martin and IAOM Eurasia Director Eren Günhan Ulusoy, whose remarks will set the tone for the confer- ence and spotlight the industry’s evolving priorities. The event will serve as a vital meeting point for participants from Central Asia, the Baltics, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, and the Caucasus, with strong international attendance also expected from the United States, the Middle East, and Africa. The Eurasia region—home to over 2 billion people and repre- senting a combined GDP of $7.1 trillion—is a powerhouse in global grain markets. It includes some of the world’s top wheat produc- ers and flour exporters, such as Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Turkey, adding significant global weight to this year’s event. In his invitation message, IAOM Eurasia Chairman Eren Gün- han Ulusoy stated: “We look forward to welcoming you to the 4th IAOM Eurasia Conference & Expo, taking place in Istanbul from September 3 to 6. Uluslararası Un Sanayicileri ve Hububatçılar Birliği’nin (IAOM) Avrasya bölge direktörlüğünü yürüten Türkiye, her yıl 3 milyon tonun üzerinde un ihracatıyla dünya liderliğini elin- de bulundururken, aynı zamanda 32 ülkeden oluşan Avrasya Bölgesi’nin temsilini de üstleniyor.
