BBM • MAY - MAYIS 2026 19 Leading national and international representatives of the grain sector will gather in Ankara on June 4-5, 2026 for the XI International “Grain Conference on Turkey and the World To- wards the 2026 Harvest.” Organized by the Grain Suppliers As- sociation (HUBUDER) at the Sheraton Hotel Ankara, the event is set to become one of the most comprehensive evaluation platforms for global and regional grain markets ahead of the new harvest season. Dan Basse, President of AgResource and widely recog- nized for his analyses of global agricultural and com- modity markets, will be the keynote speaker at the conference, where developments shaping the direction of world grain markets will be discussed. HUBUDER President Gürsel Erbap em- phasized that the main objective of the or- ganization is to shed light on the future of agriculture and grain trade. Sharing his as- sessments regarding the 2026 harvest period, Erbap stated that they expect a positive outlook this year in terms of production and productivity. He noted that increasing productivity and exports would positively affect not only farmers’ incomes, but also grain trade, the national economy, and social motivation. Erbap added that the new season is sending promising signals for the sector.
