Hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry at the Turkish Grain Board (TMO), the Grain Sector Consultation Meeting addressed Türkiye’s grain production outlook, har- vest results, TMO’s procurement activities, domestic market balances and the sector’s expectations. The meeting was attended by Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı, Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, Deputy Ministers of Trade Mahmut Gürcan and Volkan Ağar, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Dr. Ahmet Bağcı, TMO Chairman and General Manager Ahmet Güldal, and Director General of Food and Control Dr. Ersin Dilber. Representing the industry were Mehmet Mesut Çakmak, President of the Turkish Flour Industrialists’ Federation (TUSAF), and members of the TUSAF Board of Directors, as well as National Grain Council President Yaşar Serpi, LİDAŞDER Chairman Serdar Genç, IAOM Eurasia Presi- dent Eren Günhan Ulusoy and the heads of grain products exporters’ associations. Industry representatives shared their views, recommendations and demands, while devel- opments in both domestic and global markets were also discussed. Yumaklı signals a historic harvest Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı said Türkiye was approaching the end of a bountiful harvest sea- son and that the country was expecting the highest grain harvest in the history of the Republic. Yumaklı stressed that the strong production outlook, shaped by the hard work of farmers, once again demonstrated Türkiye’s production strength and self-sufficiency in strategic agricultural com- modities. Minister Yumaklı added that efforts to ensure the sustain- ability of agricultural production, support farmers and further strengthen food supply security would continue with deter- mination. Field data also support expectations for a strong harvest. Prof. Dr. Süleyman Soylu, a member of the National Grain Council’s Research and Advisory Board, said in an assess- ment in July that wheat production could reach 24-24.5 mil- lion tonnes, while barley production could rise to 9-10 mil- lion tonnes. Soylu said total wheat and barley production was expected to increase by at least 40 percent compared with the previous year. Bolat: “There are no supply-related problems” Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat also stressed at the meeting that there were no supply-related problems in agricultural products. Noting that abundant rainfall, together with the policies implemented, had contributed positively to produc- tion, Bolat said the strategic importance of agricultural pro- duction was becoming increasingly evident. Highlighting the importance of coordination between pub- lic institutions in maintaining a healthy and balanced market structure, Bolat said the Ministry of Trade and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry continued to work in close coordi- nation and emphasized the importance of industry stake- holders contributing to this collaborative approach. TMO’s procurement and market operations reviewed One of the key items on the meeting agenda was TMO’s grain procurement activities during the 2026 harvest sea- son. Türkiye’de 2026 hububat hasat sezonunun sonuna yak- laşılırken, kamu otoriteleri ile hububat ve un sektörünün önde gelen temsilcileri Ankara’da bir araya geldi. Tarım ve Orman Bakanlığı’nın ev sahipliğinde Toprak Mahsulle- ri Ofisi’nde (TMO) gerçekleştirilen Hububat Sektörü İstişare Toplantısı’nda, Türkiye’nin hububat üretim görünümü, hasat sonuçları, TMO’nun alım faaliyetleri, iç piyasa dengeleri ve sektörün beklentileri değerlendirildi. Toplantıya Tarım ve Orman Bakanı İbrahim Yumaklı, Ticaret Ba- kanı Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, Ticaret Bakan Yardımcıları Mahmut Gür- can ve Volkan Ağar, Tarım ve Orman Bakan Yardımcısı Dr. Ahmet Bağcı, TMO Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı ve Genel Müdürü Ahmet Güldal ile Gıda ve Kontrol Genel Müdürü Dr. Ersin Dilber katıldı. Sektör tarafında ise Türkiye Un Sanayicileri Federasyonu (TUSAF) Başkanı Mehmet Mesut Çakmak ve TUSAF Yönetim Kurulu üyelerinin yanı sıra Ulusal Hububat Konseyi Başkanı Yaşar Serpi, LİDAŞDER Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Serdar Genç, IAOM Avrasya Başkanı Eren Günhan Ulusoy ve hububat ürün- leri ihracatçı birliklerinin başkanları yer aldı. Toplantıda sektör temsilcilerinin görüş, öneri ve talepleri dinlenirken, yurt içi ve küresel piyasalardaki gelişmeler de ele alındı. Yumaklı’dan tarihi rekolte mesajı Tarım ve Orman Bakanı İbrahim Yumaklı, Türkiye’nin be- reketli bir hasat sezonunun sonuna yaklaştığını belirterek, hububatta Cumhuriyet tarihinin en yüksek rekoltesinin bek- lendiğini ifade etti. Yumaklı, üreticilerin emeğiyle ortaya çıkan güçlü üretim tablosunun Türkiye’nin stratejik tarım ürünlerin- deki üretim kapasitesini ve kendine yeterliliğini bir kez daha ortaya koyduğunu vurguladı. Bakan Yumaklı, tarımsal üretimin sürdürülebilirliğinin sağ- lanması, çiftçilerin desteklenmesi ve gıda arz güvenliğinin daha da güçlendirilmesine yönelik çalışmaların kararlılıkla sür- dürüleceğini kaydetti. Sahadan gelen veriler de yüksek üretim beklentisini des- tekliyor. Ulusal Hububat Konseyi Araştırma ve Danışma Ku- rulu Üyesi Prof. Dr. Süleyman Soylu, temmuz ayında yaptığı değerlendirmede buğday üretiminin 24-24,5 milyon ton, arpa üretiminin ise 9-10 milyon ton seviyesine ulaşabileceğini be- lirtmişti. Soylu, buğday ve arpanın toplam üretiminde geçen yıla göre en az yüzde 40 artış beklediklerini ifade etmişti.
