BBM • NOVEMBER - KASIM 2023 24 NEWS HABER Organized with the backing of the Ministry of Trade, the Minis- try of Agriculture and Forestry, the Turkish Grain Board, and the Turkish Flour Industrialists’ Federation (TFIF), and hosted by the Marmara Region Flour Industrialists’ Association (MBUSD) under the theme “After the Harvest, With the Blessings of Wheat,” the congress drew significant attention from industry representatives. At the event, where the reform of agricultural production and the intricacies of contract farming were delved into, numerous experts from both the public and private sectors offered their insights. In his opening remarks, Haluk Tezcan, the Chairman of TFIF’s Board, noted that 2023 was a year marked by economic and financial turbulence, climate shifts, natural catastrophes, and en- ergy challenges, serving as a wakeup call for the world. Flour industrialists highlight ‘Water and Energy’ concerns Hosted by the Marmara Region Flour Industrialists Asso- ciation in Sapanca under the theme “After the Harvest, with the Blessings of Wheat,” the meeting was dominat- ed by the industrialists’ concerns over water and energy. Un sanayicileri ‘Su ve Enerji’ tehlikesine dikkat çekti Marmara Bölgesi Un Sanayicileri Derneği ev sahipliğin- de “Hasadın Ardından, Buğdayın Bereketiyle” temasıyla Sapanca’da düzenlenen toplantıya sanayicilerin su ve enerji endişeleri damga vurdu. Ticaret Bakanlığı, Tarım ve Orman Bakanlığı, Toprak Mah- sulleri Ofisi ve Türkiye Un Sanayicileri Federasyonu’nun (TU- SAF) desteği ve Marmara Bölgesi Un Sanayicileri Derneği’nin (MBUSD) ev sahipliğinde “Hasadın Ardından, Buğdayın Bere- ketiyle” temasıyla düzenlenen kongreye sektör temsilcileri yo- ğun ilgi gösterdi. Tarımsal üretimin reformu ve sözleşmeli tarımın detaylıca ko- nuşulduğu kongrede, kamu ve özel sektörden birçok uzman görüşlerini paylaştı. Açılışta konuşan TUSAF Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Haluk Tez- can, 2023 yılının ekonomik ve mali dalgalanmaların yanında iklim değişikliği, doğal afetler, enerji kaynaklarında yaşanan sıkıntılar ile bizlere aslında dünyanın bir dur çağrısı niteliğinde geçtiğini söyledi.
