The event, attended by over 700 local and international industry rep- resentatives, saw the participation of Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı and Ahmet Güldal, General Manager of the Turkish Grain Board (TMO). During the con- gress, discussions focused on the current state of the licensed warehousing system, the grain markets, potential areas for devel- opment, and strategies for future growth. In his opening speech at the congress, Serdar Genç, Chairman of the Board of LİDAŞDER, empha- sized that Turkey’s licensed warehousing system is among the best in the world. Reflecting on a re- cent visit to the United States to validate this claim, Genç stated, “During our visit to Amer- ica, we proudly confirmed the progress Tur- key has made in licensed warehousing. We found that Turkey’s system outperforms even the United States and the rest of the world. We are immensely proud of this achievement and would like to express our gratitude to the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, and all the investors who helped establish this system.” LICENSED WAREHOUSE CAPACITY SET TO REACH 20 MILLION TONNES Serdar Genç highlighted that licensed warehousing has become one of the most significant projects in the agricul- tural sector in recent years. He pointed out that Turkey’s licensed storage capacity has grown from 8.9 million tons to 12.2 million tons in the past two years. With a target of reaching 20 million tons by 2030, Genç emphasized that the sector has made a substantial contribution to the na- tional economy, with an investment volume of 50 billion Turkish Liras (1.38 billion USD), the creation of 2,000 jobs, and ensuring supply security for strategic products. Con- cluding his speech, Genç shared his vision for the future of the sector, stating, “If we continue to work together, we will achieve our goal of making Turkey the global hub for licensed warehousing.” Speaking at the con- gress, Turkey’s Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, İbrahim Yumaklı, highlight- ed that 48% of the coun- try’s 23.9 million hectares of agricultural land is used for grain production. He noted that Turkey pro- duced 39 million tons of Türkiye’nin dünyada önemli bir oyuncu olduğu lisanslı depoculuk sektörü, bu yıl ikinci kez düzenlenen LİDAŞDER Kongresi’nde buluştu. Tarım ve Orman Bakanı İbrahim Yumaklı ve Toprak Mahsulleri Ofisi (TMO) Genel Müdürü Ahmet Güldal’ın hazır bulunduğu et- kinliğe yerli ve yabancı 700’ün üzerinde sektör temsilcisi katıldı. Kongrede, lisanslı depoculuk sistemi ve hububat piyasala- rının mevcut durumu, potansiyel gelişme alanları ve geleceğe yönelik stratejiler kapsamlı bir şekilde ele alındı. TÜRKİYE, LİSANSLI DEPOCULUK- TA DÜNYA STANDARTLARINI AŞTI Kongrenin açılış konuşmasını yapan LİDAŞDER Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Serdar Genç, Türkiye’de lisanslı depoculuğun dünyanın birçok ülkesin- den daha iyi bir şekilde uygulandığını söy- ledi. Bu tespiti teyit etmek adına ABD’ye gerçekleştirdikleri ziyareti anlatan Genç, “Amerika’da yaptığımız incelemelerde, ülkemizin lisanslı depoculuk alanında gel- diği noktayı bir kez daha gururla gördük. Ülkemizde lisanslı depoculuğun ABD’den, hatta tüm dünyadan daha iyi uygulandığına şahit olduk, gurur duyduk. Bu sistemi kuran Ti- caret Bakanlığı ve Tarım ve Orman Bakanlığı’na, ayrıca tüm yatırımcılara teşekkür ediyorum.” dedi. LİSANSLI DEPO KAPASİTESİ 20 MİLYON TONA ULAŞACAK Genç, lisanslı depoculuğun son yıllarda tarım sektörün- deki en önemli projelerden biri olduğunu vurgulayarak, Türkiye’nin lisanslı depo kapasitesinin son iki yılda 8,9 mil- yon tondan 12,2 milyon tona yükseldiğini ifade etti. 2030 yılı hedefinin 20 milyon ton olduğunu belirten Genç, bu sektörün 50 milyar TL yatırım hacmi, 2.000 kişilik istihdamı ve stratejik ürünlerde arz güvenliği sağlamasıyla ülke ekonomisine bü- yük katkı sağladığını söyledi. Konuşmasının sonunda sektörün geleceğine ilişkin hedef- lerini paylaşan Genç, “Birlik içinde çalışmaya devam edersek, Türkiye’yi dünyanın lisanslı depoculuk üssü haline getirme hedefimizi gerçekleştirece- ğiz.” dedi.
