WorldFood Istanbul, the International Food Products and Technologies Exhibition, will open its doors for the 34th time at the Istanbul Expo Center on 15–18 December 2026. Eurasia’s longest-established food trade fair will bring together food and beverage producers and buyers from around the world, welcoming a broad range of exhibitors and visitors at its new venue and on its new dates. Drawing on its extensive experience and industry reach, the fair’s diverse offering will once again provide a productive business environment for stakeholders across the food sector. Exhibition Director Semi Benbanaste said its 34 years of experience had helped the industry enter new markets and develop business partnerships.
Last year, the fair hosted more than 1,300 exhibitors from 40 countries and over 3,000 brands. International visitors from more than 150 countries accounted for 30% of its approximately 80,000 visitors. More than 900 VIP buyers from 100 countries also attended, with nearly 40,000 business meetings held.
The FOOD Arena Conference Programme on the opening day will explore the future of food systems following COP31. Coordinated by the Office of the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Türkiye, four sessions will be hosted by UN agencies, including the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the World Food Programme (WFP) and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
Moderated by Ilgaz Gürsoy and İrfan Donat, the sessions will address food security, climate change, resilience, sustainable production and financing. The programme aims to assess how developments on the global agenda will influence the industry’s priorities for 2027.
