Turkey, one of the global leaders in pasta production, continues its ascent with new investments. Azim Group Holding’s newly laid foundation for a pasta factory in Mardin Organized Industrial Zone, with a daily production capacity of 360 tons, is set to significantly bolster the country’s pasta output.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held for Azim Group Holding’s pasta production facility in Mardin. Chairman Orhan İlhan announced that the factory will feature four production lines as part of the group’s expanded investment in pasta production. Swiss company Bühler will establish the production lines, enhancing Turkey’s pasta manufacturing capacity. Representing Azim Group’s strategic expansion, this project aims to extend the value chain from flour production to essential food supplies for both Turkey and international markets.
The groundbreaking of Azim Group Holding’s Akhan Pasta Factory coincided with the inauguration of Azim Lidaş Storage Facilities. Expressing his satisfaction, Chairman İlhan emphasized their commitment to contributing to the national economy by launching both projects in the historic city of Mardin.
The factory, spanning 20,000 square meters, is designed to produce over 130,000 tons of pasta annually, with a daily capacity of 360 tons. İlhan highlighted that the facility will utilize world-class automation and advanced technology systems to boost production speed and efficiency.
