At the 15th Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of the Kitchen Products and Margarine Industrialists' Association (MÜMSAD), veteran businessman Metin Yurdagül left his seat to Ebru Akdağ, a young Food Engineer. Metin Yurdagül became the honorary president.
The 15th Ordinary General Assembly of MÜMSAD gathered the producers of food products such as frozen food, herbal and fruit teas, margarine, powdered foods, and instant soups. Ebru Akdağ, who has been working as the General Coordinator of MÜMSAD for five years, was appointed as the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors at the meeting held among the Board of Directors elected at the General Assembly.
"It is a great honor and an important responsibility for me to receive the torch of the chairmanship at MÜMSAD from Mr. Metin Yurdagül, a veteran who has spent 55 years in the food industry, whose contributions to the industry are indisputable and contribution to me are unforgettable. With this awareness, I owe our Honorary President Mr. Yurdagül, our profession, and our industry to work with a never-ending motivation to move our food industry forward and to inform consumers regarding public health. In the coming period, we will continue to do our best to inform the consumer correctly and develop the sector taking public health into account,” said the new Chairwoman Ebru Akdağ, who has accomplished successful works as the General Coordinator, in her vote of thanks.
After the election of the new management, Metin Yurdagül, who was among the founding members of MÜMSAD in 2004 and served as the chairman for 15 years, was granted the Honorary President plaque by Yıldız Holding CEO Mehmet Tütüncü for his contributions to the food industry.
