Puratos Turkey is allocating resources to provide the necessary equipment for businesses in the earthquake region to stand up and produce again, with its ‘Puratos Turkey Bread and Pastry Industry Reconstruction Fund’ initiative.
Following the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş on February 6, Puratos Turkey continues its support with the ‘Puratos Turkey Bread and Pastry Industry Reconstruction Fund’ that it has launched. Applications to the fund created for local bread and pastry businesses in the earthquake-affected regions to stand up again will continue until July 31.
Bora Akın, General Manager of Puratos Turkey, highlighted the importance of the spirit of solidarity shown as a nation in the difficult days following the earthquakes, and said: “As Puratos Turkey, we have been a part of this solidarity since the first day of the earthquake. With the support of the Puratos Group to which we belong, we allocated resources to bread and pastry businesses in the earthquake region with the donations collected in the ‘Puratos Turkey Bread and Pastry Industry Reconstruction Fund’ that we have launched. Because businesses in this region need to purchase new equipment in order to go into production. Moreover, the reopening of all businesses is very important both for access to food and in terms of employment. We will continue to do what we can to ensure life in the region returns to normal and this is sustainable.”
