The Chair of the TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Board Balıkesir has taken a significant step toward supporting women's entrepreneurship and labor in the region. Led by the TOBB Balıkesir Women Entrepreneurs Board and carried out in partnership with the Balıkesir Chamber of Commerce and the South Marmara Development Agency (GMKA), the project has been implemented under the 2024 Social Development Support Program (SOGEP).
Buse Tellioğlu Altındiş, Vice Chair of the Board of Tellioğlu Gıda, stated, “As the Chair of the TOBB Balıkesir Women Entrepreneurs Board and a female entrepreneur under my Bonatelli brand, I strongly support women entrepreneurs. It brings me great joy and excitement to take part in such a project during this meaningful week as we celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8.”
Emphasizing that supporting women's entrepreneurship and labor to create a sustainable economic model is a shared responsibility, Altındiş highlighted that the project was launched with this vision in mind. Aimed at strengthening women’s cooperatives in Balıkesir, the project seeks to establish a unified brand that will help expand their production into broader markets, fostering female solidarity and economic independence.
As part of the project, cooperatives will receive tailored mentorship and capacity-building support based on their unique structures. Additionally, the initiative will provide women entrepreneurs with opportunities to gain a stronger foothold in national and international markets. The project will also facilitate the integration of women's cooperatives into e-commerce platforms, helping them reach wider audiences.
