GEA Group has been certified in accordance with the
internationally recognized ISO/IEC 27001:2013 since January 2022. TÜV Rheinland
thus confirms that the machinery and plant manufacturer has an effective and
efficient information security management system (ISMS).
The ISO/IEC 27001 standard specifies the requirements for the establishment, operation, and continuous improvement of an information security management system (ISMS). TÜV Rheinland conducted comprehensive audits of GEA Group's corporate headquarters in Düsseldorf and GEA Group Services GmbH, covering GEA Group Shares Services worldwide, such as IT, Human Resources and Purchasing, as well as the six Düsseldorf sites.
"GEA is deeply committed to protecting information. After all, it serves to protect our business partners on the one hand and to safeguard our corporate success on the other. Therefore, we are very proud to have successfully achieved this certification," says Christian Niederhagemann, Chief Information Officer at GEA and Managing Director of GEA Group Services GmbH.
The next step will be to extend safety certifications to other production sites, starting with GEA's largest site in Oelde, Germany.
GEA is one of the world’s largest systems suppliers for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical sectors. The international industrial technology group specializes in machinery and plants as well as advanced process technology, components and comprehensive services.
