La Lorraine, a globally reputable brand from Belgium, has entered the Turkish market of baked products, cakes and bakery with its 100 million TL worth of investment in Manisa.

La Lorraine, a Belgium family business that has been active in the baked products, cakes and bakery market for 77 years, has entered the Turkish market of baked products, cakes and bakery with its 100 million TL worth of investment in Manisa. The facility, built as a closed area of 20,000 m2 on a total area of 40 decares in Manisa Organized Industrial Zone, using the cutting-edge technology, is the most popular factory among all production facilities owned by the group.
The company currently has a total of 12 production facilities around the world, including 9 in Belgium and one facility in each of Czech Republic, Romania and Poland. Having achieved a turnover more than €620 million in 2015, La Lorraine has opened its 13th facility in Manisa.
Guido Vanherpe, CEO of La Lorraine, stated that they have made a decision to invest in Turkey by establishing a facility here in 2015 and have now reached 500 destinations today, and said that the company aims to reach 5,000 destinations and double its turnover by the end of 2017. Burak Deniz, La Lorraine’s General Manager in Turkey, said this investment will set a good example in Turkey for other foreign investors, and added: “La Lorraine will bring vividness and dynamism to the industry, and offer the European experience to Turkish consumers. We have a good claim in the bread group. We produce better quality products with high added value in bread as well as in other products.”
