Rise Baking Company, one of the leading bakery manufacturers in the US, has completed its acquisition of Jimmy’s Gourmet Bakery. The acquisition will strengthen the company’s position in the cookie category while significantly expanding its manufacturing and innovation capabilities in the Northeast.
Rise Baking Company, which offers a broad portfolio of products for in-store bakeries and foodservice operators, has added Jimmy’s Gourmet Bakery, a company with more than 40 years of experience, to its business. Rise Baking sees the acquisition as an important part of its long-term growth strategy and its efforts to strengthen its manufacturing footprint.

Operating three manufacturing facilities totaling more than 350,000 square feet, Jimmy’s Gourmet Bakery has built a strong position in the thaw-and-sell baked goods segment. Its portfolio includes the Jimmy’s Cookies brand, the King Krumb Cookie line and Ecce Panis artisan breads, as well as private label solutions.
Mark McNeil, CEO of Rise Baking Company, said Jimmy’s has built a strong reputation through its talented team, corporate culture and innovative products. He noted that the acquisition will enable Rise Baking to further invest in its customers, employees and innovation capabilities.
Jimmy’s Gourmet Bakery will continue to operate independently during the integration process. Through the acquisition, Rise Baking aims to expand its product portfolio, strengthen its manufacturing capabilities and accelerate product innovation to meet evolving customer needs.
