Turkey’s leading food company, Ülker, has once again secured a place in S&P Global’s Corporate Sustainability Assessment, which recognizes top performers in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. This marks the fifth consecutive year that Ülker has been included in the assessment.
Ülker, whose sustainability efforts are widely recognized on both national and international platforms, has achieved the distinction of being featured in S&P Global’s The Sustainability Yearbook for the fifth time. This year, more than 7,690 companies from 62 different industries were evaluated, and only 780 made it onto the list. Ülker was one of nine Turkish companies to be included and remains the only Turkish company among the 26 global food sector representatives.
Ülker CEO Mete Buyurgan
Ülker CEO Mete Buyurgan emphasized the company’s unwavering commitment to sustainability, stating: "At Ülker, we take pride in complementing our sustainability-driven growth and operational excellence with the achievements we secure on national and international platforms. In this regard, we have started 2025 on a strong note. Following the January 2024 assessment by the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), a global financial analysis and reporting organization, we once again ranked first in our category among 484 companies worldwide in the January 2, 2025 evaluation of publicly traded companies' ESG performance. Now, we are delighted to have been recognized in S&P Global’s Corporate Sustainability Assessment for the fifth consecutive year."
