Pasta Rummo Introduces High-Protein Organic Maxima

One of Italy’s most established pasta producers, Rummo, has made a bold entry into the protein-focused, organic pasta category with its new product, Maxima. The sixth-generation family-owned company brings together just two organic ingredients in this range: organic durum wheat semolina and yellow peas.

Aiming to meet the rising demand for healthy and functional foods, Rummo has launched the Maxima line in six classic shapes: Spaghetti, Rigatoni, Penne Rigate, Elbows, Fusilli, and Linguine. The Maxima range is now available across the United States at Sprouts and other retailers.

Speaking about the new product, Antonio Rummo, President of Rummo USA and sixth-generation pasta maker, said: “The name Maxima not only refers to its higher protein content, but also to the ultimate taste, texture, and satisfying pasta experience it provides. For 179 years, our family has continued to produce the highest quality pasta with the perfect al dente texture. Maxima is a functional version of this tradition.”

The protein in Maxima is naturally extracted from yellow peas. This ensures that consumers are offered an organic, high-quality product that surpasses its competitors. Rummo’s signature Lenta Lavorazione® method, a slow and meticulous production process, guarantees the ideal al dente texture. Rummo also holds the distinction of being the first pasta brand in the world to have its “al dente” performance certified by an independent organization (Bureau Veritas/385-003).

Over the past six years, Rummo has recorded 757% growth in the U.S. market, including an impressive 62% increase in just the last year. This success highlights the brand’s commitment to innovation and its quality-driven approach.
