Huge pasta factory from Nisshin to Ankara

Pasta factory which was founded in corporation with Nuh’un Ankara Makarnası, Japanese Nisshin and Marubeni last year put intro service. 14_1The factory of Nisshin Seifun Turkey which Rıfat Hisarcıklıoğlu, the President of Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) is also one of the partners was opened with a ceremony. The company states that their aim is to be one of the leaders of pasta industry in the world. Giving a speech at the ceremony in the 1st Industrial Park of Ankara, which Nobuchika Hanawa, the president of Nisshin Seifun Turkey and Japanese Ambassador Yutaka Yokoi have also attended to, Hisarcıklıoğlu said they, as Nuh’un Ankara, will expand their investments there with their Japanese partners. TURKISH WHEAT WILL BE USED Hisarcıklıoğlu said: “In the first phase, we will produce 18 thousand tons of pasta annually. Right after that, it will increase to 35 thousand tons in the second phase. We will complete 35,5 million dollar investment in three years on 23.000 m2 area in 1.Industrial Park in Sincan. After classical pasta, frozen pasta, ravioli and mix flour production will follow. We have a motto in this investment: 100 percent Made in Turkey, 100 percent export. We will use Turkish wheat. Our window opening to all the markets in the world will be our partner Marubeni.” Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the project encouraged Turkish-Japanese partnerships in other areas too. AMBASSADOR YOKOI: THIS INITIATIVE WILL BE ROL MODEL Ambassador of Japan in Turkey, Yutaka Yokoi drew attention to the close economic relations between the two countries and said: “This year, direct investment amount from japan to Turkey have reached to 204 million dollars by May. This amount ranks as 6th among the direct investments to Turkey from other countries and it shows that the amount of 214 million tons that Japan reached last year will be exceeded. This initiative will be a role model for Japanese food industry to expand in Turkey.”
