Piero Mirra, who previously was the deputy manager for customer services and sales director of Barilla, the global food company, in Italy has been appointed as the General Manager of Barilla Turkey.

Piero Mirra who has been taking on various responsibilities in Barilla since 2002 has been appointed as the new General Manager of Barilla Turkey. After graduating from the Department of Economics at La Sapienza University and completing his MBA program at the Bologna Alma Graduate School, Piero Mirra began his professional career in 1995 as a Strategic Consultant. In 2002, Mirra joined Barilla as the Finance Director of the European Region and the Italian CBD. In 2004, Mirra started to work at the Sales Department of “Customer Services” in Barilla Italy, and finally took on the role of Vice President with increasing responsibilities. Piero Mirra, who has taken over as of 1 September 2017 the vacated position of Güneş Karababa , who has been appointed to the Greater China Region, will lead Barilla’s ongoing growth strategy in Turkey. Piero Mirra is married with two children.
