Gathering all the woman employees from all over Turkey at an event for 8th March organized thirdly in Istanbul this year due to International Woman’s Day, Human Resources Manager of Barilla, Hüseyin Coşkun, as Barilla Group, announced that they prefer women in case of two applications with equal qualifications.

Barilla, one of the leading companies of food sector, organized an event for its women employees due to March 8 – International Women’s Day. Gathering women employees from all over Turkey at Moda Teras, Istanbul, enriched the event with seminars and talks about the sub-roles of woman, woman in relations, healthy living, nutrition, sport, beauty, care and gynecological diseases.
Human Resources Manager of Barilla, Hüseyin Coşkun said that they organized the third event for International Women’s Day and women employees had an enjoyable and meaningful day together on this day.
Underlying that as a company basing on the idea of respecting for humanity and planet, they operate diversity-oriented, Coşkun recorded Barilla is a conscious company about supporting women in business life. Stating: “We support women to participate in business more at the present time that unfortunately women’s right to live is discussed”, Coşkun, as Barilla, said they prefer women in case of two applications with equal qualifications. “As a manager of Barilla and a member of society, I am proud of this positive discrimination practice” said Coşkun.
Pointing out that more than 50 percent of main office employees are women, Coşkun said: “Diversity policy of Barilla comforts HR. For example, one of the practices we are proud of is our women employee who started to work as an engineer in our factory and is responsible for the production. Although only men have worked for this night and day job so far, Barilla now shares this responsibility with a woman.”
