A record number of people visited the International Bread, Cake Machines, Ice Cream, Chocolate and Technology Fair (IBATECH) Istanbul 2018. More than 80,000 people visited the fair, which 341 companies from 115 countries participated in. IBATECH Istanbul 2018, which was organized by the Messe Stuttgart Ares Exhibition biennially, was held between 12 and 15 April. Receiving a great interest, IBATECH Istanbul has proved its leadership position once more in the Eurasian bakery and pastry sector. The fair with its top international profile presented an ideal environment for efficient business connection for visitors and participants. 341 companies from 115 countries presented more than 500 brands during the IBATECH Istanbul. IBATECH Istanbul, which was visited by 81 thousand 278 people from 115 countries, broke its own record and reached the highest number of visitors so far. After Turkey, the most visitors came from Bulgaria, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Macedonia, Algeria and Germany. IBATECH Istanbul also welcomed an international procurement committee with support from the Economy Ministry and OAIB – the Central Anatolian Exporters Union. Under the framework of this program, international delegations from Greece, Jordan, Palestine, Tunisia and Turkmenistan took the opportunity for new cooperation. Visitors’ satisfaction showed itself at the fair survey. According to this survey, 95 percent of the visitors said they will visit IBATECH Istanbul 2020. Forty percent of the visitors represented the pastry sector. The increase in the bakery sector has gone up from 21 percent to 29 percent compared to 2016. Additionally, 77 percent of the visitors said they will make investments. The next IBATECH Istanbul will take place at the CNR Expo Center between 26 and 29 March 2020.
