Record harvest lifts 16-month ban: TMO reopens Turkish wheat exports
As Türkiye wraps up one of its most bountiful harvest seasons in history, the Turkish Grain Board (TMO) has officially reopened exports of milling wheat and broken wheat as of July 29, 2026, lifting a ban in place since March 2025. Welcomed by local farmers and grain traders, this controlled policy shift aims to ease domestic supply pressure and strengthen producer prices, while helping the Board alleviate its heavy stock and financial burden.
