Istanbul Halk Ekmek Inc. (IHE), a subsidiary of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, meets a significant portion of Istanbul residents’ needs for healthy, high-quality, and affordable flour and bakery products. All stages of production are carried out in hygienic conditions without human contact.

Since 1978, IHE has been a key provider of bread for Istanbul, delivering millions of households access to quality and affordable options. With the addition of the Ahmet İsvan factory in recent years, the company now operates four factories. Spanning 445 neighborhoods across 39 districts, IHE serves the city through 698 kiosks and nearly 3,000 sales points, continuing to produce bread and packaged goods for Istanbulites, including during Ramadan.

Three new products have hit the shelves at IHE kiosks. The 400-gram Sourdough Bread, produced at the Ahmet İsvan Factory through a natural fermentation process, offers a healthy and nutritious option for 25 TRY. The Gourmet Hamburger Bun, weighing 360 grams, is also now available at kiosks and sales points for 50 TRY, catering to burger enthusiasts.

Appealing to all age groups, Halk Ekmek hasn’t forgotten the kids. The new ‘Minik’ product, with its 20% fruit content and soft texture, stands out as a child-friendly snack. Enriched with butter and milk, Minik combines protein and high fiber to deliver a nutritious and satisfying bite. Priced at 7.5 TRY, this affordable treat is poised to become a staple for breakfasts, school bags, and beyond.
