Okan Gedik was appointed as new General Manager of IBB Public Bread, replacing Salih Bekaroglu, who left office due to his retirement.

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) affiliate company Public Bread has witnessed a new change of duty. Okan Gedik was appointed as General Manager of Public Bread, replacing Salih Bekaroğlu, who left office on July 6th due to his retirement. Bekaroglu, who was General Manager at Public Bread since March 17, 2005, was one of the names which the new municipal administration continued to work with.

WHO IS OKAN GEDIK? Okan Gedik, who was named after Bekaroglu, was born in 1973. Gedik graduated from Bogaziçi University Mechanical Engineering Department in 1996 and Koç University MBA program in 2001. He started his career at Kibar Group and took on different positions in group companies between 1996-2017. At Assan Aluminum Inc., where he set off his business life in 1996, he worked as Marketing and Sales Specialist, Marketing Chief, International Sales Manager, Marketing and Sales Manager and Sales Director respectively. Gedik, who has been working at Assan Hanil Automotive Inc., one of the Group companies since 2008, continued to work in the said company as the Deputy General Manager for Sales and Administrative Affairs, General Manager and Board Member until 2017. He was also a founding member of the board of directors and served as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at TSI Plane Seat Production Inc. At the Kale Group, where he joined in 2017, he assumed the duties of General Manager at Kaleseramik and Çanakkale Kalebodur Ceramics Inc as well as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kale Mining, Kale Transportation and Kale Frit until the end of 2019.
