Oba Makarna, the export leader of its sector in Turkey for six consecutive years, was granted the Star of Export award by Southeastern Anatolia Exporters’ Association (GAİB).

Oba Makarna, leading Turkish pasta exporter, has been looking its laurels as the pasta export champion for the last six years. Oba Pasta was awarded in the Stars of Export Award Ceremony organized by Southeastern Anatolia Exporters’ Association (GAİB). Oba Pasta, which realized 165.5 million dollars of pasta export to 86 countries in 2018, managed to increase its exports by 20 percent compared to the previous year. Musa Özgüçlü, Chairman of Oba Group stated that their aim is to successfully represent Turkey in all countries of the world. Expressing that Oba Makarna is a brand of Gaziantep province and that of Turkey, Musa Özgüçlü said, “We are very happy because our success is rewarded. Oba Makarna realized 165 million 518 thousand dollars of export, according to ‘Top 1000 Export Companies of Turkey’ research conducted by Turkey Exporters’ Assembly (TIM) for the 17th time this year. Thus, its export volume increased by 20 percent compared to the previous year. Our products are attracting great interest also across the country. Oba Gıda made the ISO 500 (Top 500 Industrial Enterprises) list that has been conducted each year by the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce at number 154 and at number 146 in the private company ranking,” he said.
