The moment that marked World Pasta Day

As we prepared our November edition, the reflections of the World Pasta Day celebrations held in Istanbul continued to warm our hearts. This year, we did not simply witness an event; we experienced a genuine celebration of friendship, collaboration, and dedication at the very heart of our industry.

As Carl Zuanelli, President of the International Pasta Organization (IPO), said in his speech in Istanbul, “Pasta is a unifying force on the world’s table.” Indeed, this product that brings together different cultures, nations, and people around the same table once again reminded us of the universal language of food.

During this year’s World Pasta Day, BBM Magazine and our special publication BBM Pasta received great recognition and praise from across the industry. It was an unforgettable moment when President Zuanelli, in the middle of his speech, turned to the audience, raised a copy of BBM Magazine, and declared: “BBM is an exceptional publication and a great asset for the Turkish and international pasta industry.” We will never forget those kind words and that powerful moment. Thank you, dear Carl Zuanelli.

These words were not merely a compliment, but a strong affirmation that this platform—built and nurtured through years of dedication—is on the right path. On behalf of our entire editorial team, I extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has trusted, supported, and grown together with us on this journey. In this November issue, we also highlight another significant development that will shape the future of our industry. IDMA Fair Organization will, for the first time, open its doors to bakery technologies at its upcoming exhibition in Istanbul in 2026. This milestone represents a major opportunity for Türkiye’s bakery machinery sector to gain greater visibility on the global stage.

We sincerely believe that the energy born of unity will continue to transform into new success stories for both Türkiye’s and the world’s bakery and milling industries in the period ahead.
