The Turkish Grain Board will offer its wheat stocks held in licensed warehouses for sale through the Turkish Mercantile Exchange as of 1 September 2026. The sales will be open to all buyers without distinction between individuals and organisations.

The Turkish Grain Board (TMO) has announced that it will begin wheat sales, taking into account market needs and regional developments. TMO stocks held in licensed warehouses will be offered for open sale through the Turkish Mercantile Exchange (TÜRİB) as of 1 September 2026.

In its public announcement, TMO stated that the 2026 procurement campaign was largely complete and that the purchasing process was nearing its end. The institution emphasised that it continues to closely monitor developments in both domestic and international markets.

Sales will begin in regions where the harvest has been completed and deliveries to TMO have ended. The volume of wheat offered for sale will be determined daily in line with market demand and regional conditions.

No distinction will be made between individuals and organisations in the sale of TMO stocks through TÜRİB. This will enable market participants of different sizes to purchase wheat under the specified conditions.

Through this measure, TMO aims to respond to market needs in a timely manner and maintain a balanced supply of wheat. The institution stated that it would continue to fulfil its effective regulatory role in the grain market.
