World Pasta Day celebrated in Dubai

International Pasta Organization celebrated the World Pasta Day on October 25th in Dubai. Paolo Barilla, the President of IPO, said pasta is an extraordinary product that brought joy and comfort to the table of millions of people.

World Pasta Day has been celebrated on October 25th every year since 1998 to highlight the importance of pasta that enables people to have economic, health, and delicious foods. International Pasta Organization (IPO), Italian Pastry and Pasta Industries Association (AIDEPI), and Italian Trade Agency (ITA) organize events to emphasize on the fact that pasta is a healthy and sustainable nutrition. Dubai hosted the World Pasta Day that was held for the 20th times. Pasta producers around the world, managers of companies active in the pasta industry, scientists, and philanthropists, and media representatives came together to share their ideas and information. “Pasta is an extraordinary product that brought joy and comfort to the table of millions of people around the world. We, as pasta producers, would like to see chefs continue to reinterpret the pasta that nutritionists recommend consumption for healthy and balanced nutrition,” said Paolo Barilla, the President of IPO, on the anniversary of the World Pasta Day. “Pasta is a universal meal more than ever that is constantly developing a symbol of healthy eating and rich in history and culture thanks to its worldwide recognized nutritional value,” said Raffaello Ragaglini, the Secretary-General of IPO.
