On 20 March the milling community will honour the staple food of humankind.

March 20 is dedicated to flour, the key ingredient in bread, pasta, and baked goods found on tables globally, regardless of social standing.

On 20 March 2022, the worldwide flour industry celebrated this staple food. The FlourWorld Museum in Wittenburg unveiled a dedicated flour sack with special artwork. Mühlenchemie and the FlourWorld Museum collected donations for a charitable initiative in Uganda.

Jamal Al-Hazaa, Chairman of the Al-Hazaa Investment Group, who has made a great contribution to the development of food security and nutrition in the Middle East, was awarded the World Flour Day award.
