Pakun is set to boost its production and export capacity by 75% with the launch of its new factory in Çorlu, in the coming months. The facility will feature state-of-the-art laboratories and a bakery products plant, enhancing the company’s R&D and innovation capabilities.
As one of Turkey’s leading flour producers and exporters, Pakun continues to advance its sustainability goals through strategic investments. In addition to its main production plants in Bafra, Samsun and Çorlu, Tekirdağ the company operates a newly leased facility in İzmir with an annual wheat crushing capacity of approximately 400,000 tons. Pakun also plans to accelerate its renewable energy investments.
Chairman of Pakun, Niyazi Durgun, stated that with the activation of the Çorlu facility, the company aims to increase its production and export capacity by 75%. Durgun also explained that they will advance Pakun’s R&D and innovation power with a state-of-the-art laboratory and bakery products facility, and they are planning a new factory investment in Anatolia along with storage facility investments this year.
Durgun expressed that as Pakun, they export to over 50 countries across 4 continents, and approximately 70% of their annual sales are to foreign markets. “For a strong brand like us in exports, being strong in production and R&D is also vital. With our third facility in Çorlu, we will increase our production capacity, open up to new export markets, and move closer to our target of $100 million in exports. The R&D work we will conduct at the new laboratory and bakery products facility will put Pakun one step ahead in the sector,” he said.
