Indomie Türkiye, one of the most preferred noodle brands in the country, has completed its annual wheat harvest—one of the fundamental links in its production chain. In line with its collaborations with local farmers in the Thrace region, the wheat required for the 2025 production season has been harvested and integrated directly into the manufacturing process.
A leading brand in Turkey’s instant noodle market, Indomie Türkiye continues to develop a sustainable production model with a holistic “from farm to table” approach. Thanks to its partnerships with regional farmers in Thrace, the company successfully completed its wheat harvest and incorporated a significant portion of the raw material needed for the 2025 season directly into its operations.
The production journey that begins in the wheat fields continues at Indomie Türkiye’s modern facility in Çerkezköy, Tekirdağ, under the highest hygiene standards. As the first noodle production line in Turkey where no human hands touch the product, Indomie Türkiye stands out with its fully automated systems, environmentally friendly technologies, and quality-driven processes. During our on-site factory visit for BBM Magazine, we observed the seamless integration of advanced technology in production areas and the meticulous implementation of hygiene and quality standards.

Operating in Turkey since 2010, Indomie produces 70% of its noodles using raw materials sourced from local farmers in the Thrace region. This approach not only enhances product quality but also supports agricultural production, revitalizes the local economy, and promotes sustainable farming practices.
Onur Özkan, Factory Manager at Indomie Türkiye, emphasized that sustainability and trust in local resources lie at the heart of their production philosophy:
“A large portion of the wheat we use is cultivated by farmers in the Thrace region. We transform this hard work into finished products in our high-standard, fully automated facilities where hygiene is paramount. With a monthly production capacity of 330 tons, we manufacture approximately 1.232 billion units of noodles annually. This volume is a clear indicator of how well we’ve become integrated into Turkish consumption habits and the level of trust consumers place in our brand.”
WOMEN’S EMPLOYMENT AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY AT THE FOREFRONT
Another notable feature of Indomie Türkiye’s operations is its high rate of female employment in production. Özkan noted that more than 60% of their workforce is female—an impressive figure that reflects their strong commitment to equal opportunity and social responsibility.

The company’s sustainability vision goes beyond production. Indomie Türkiye fulfills its environmental responsibilities through practices that include water and energy efficiency, as well as recycling initiatives.
“While improving today,” Özkan said, “we also aim to preserve tomorrow’s resources,” highlighting the company’s dedication to eco-friendly production models.
THEY EVEN MADE KEBAB-FLAVORED NOODLES
Orhan Balık, Digital Marketing Supervisor at Indomie Türkiye, explained that the Indonesia-based brand is highly sensitive to the local culinary cultures of the countries where it operates. He noted that among Indomie’s 50 factories worldwide, the Turkish operation ranks in the top five. According to Balık, this success is rooted in their trust in local resources, long-term relationships with domestic producers, and unwavering focus on quality. He also revealed that Indomie’s R&D team created a kebab-flavored noodle in Indonesia, inspired by Turkish cuisine.

“Consumers from all segments enjoy our products,” said Balık. “We reach consumers in all 81 provinces of Turkey and are the clear market leader in the noodle category. From chain supermarkets to corner stores and kiosks, our products are widely available across all sales channels.”
